Fall 2016 Ladies Retreat Weekend Recap

What a Weekend!  This past weekend was the much anticipated Ladies Retreat Weekend!  This is a crafting weekend for anyone who wants to get away from the responsibilities of regular life and instead do whatever you want.  Yup, you read that right...Do Whatever YOU want.

There was much crafting going on.  I saw ladies working on their Christmas cards and scrapbooks.  I saw others working on photo organization.  There were others that were not in the crafting room very much because they were out shopping or napping.

It was fun to walk around and look at everyone's table space.  Because we had the ballroom for the entire weekend, people were free to leave their projects on the table when they went to bed and they could come back in the morning and just continue on.  (unlike at home where you feel you have to clean up in between crafting sessions) Just walking around looking at what everyone was working on was super inspirational!

The girls are free to use my big shots and dies and punches throughout the weekend.  I try to provide special pampering touches throughout the weekend because a weekend away is much more fun with surprise treats right?!

I was very very grateful to my daughter who helped me with one of the more complicated gifts but I had to do it because I thought it was so super cute! It's using the Jar of Love Stamp set  and we made it hold 4 little hershey nuggets.

Isn't it cute? I knew the ladies would love it so it was worth the extra effort.  I also made sure to send them the instructions to make it so they could make it later if they wanted to.

Other special touches over the weekend was that the venue had a workout room and pool in case anyone wanted to exercise.  There were Stampin' Up! gifts and more handmade creations.  There was also an optional make n take project each day.

There was the chance to win some great raffle prizes including a colour caddy to hold all the inks but the best part was seeing friends reconnecting with each other and seeing new friendships formed.

I feel especially blessed that my friend and fellow demonstrator  Linda from Kansas City came to my retreat.  It was great reconnecting with her and she was also so happy to help me with getting ready before the retreat.

During the retreat, Mindy (a fellow team stic girl) was a great help as well.  Throughout the weekend she was an extra pair of helping hands and she was also awesome about the pretty touches and smiling and helping everyone feel welcome.

I enjoyed seeing the smiles and hearing the casual conversation. It made all the preparation for the weekend worth it to know that women had a good time crafting and relaxing.  I wish I could transport everyone there to see what a Ladies Retreat Weekend is like but you'll just have to come to the next one to find out what I mean.
In the meantime you can watch this video.  I don't know if you can see the video in the blog,  but here is the link so you can watch it on you tube.  It's my first time making a video like this so I hope it works and I hope it gives you a taste of the Ladies Retreat Weekend!
Hope to see you at the Spring Retreat!
